Course Outline
This clinical course is aimed at providing health professionals working in primary care with an understanding of managerial, clinical and research issues that will develop specialist interests within primary care.
The course promotes the development of complementary skills required to contribute to and influence development and evaluation of specialist clinical interests in a changing primary care environment. As such, this programme provides a foundation for those professionals seeking to develop a specialist practitioner focus within their career.
The programme offers a mix of theoretical and practical skills appropriate to modern healthcare delivery and the evolution of modern primary care. The curriculum is continually revised to incorporate the latest proven, evidence-based scientific research, and clinical advances. Clinicians will have the opportunity to apply the clinical theory, practice and associated research to the provision of specialist interest in primary care practice.
